Noah at 9 months

I've been in Memphis a lot lately keeping Noah, that very special grandson of ours. Here are just a few pics to let you know how much he has grown and what he looks like now. I apologize for neglecting my blog for awhile, I'll try to get back to regular posting about all of our events.

Happenings By Sherry

The moment you can make a very simple discovery; that obligation to God is your privilege, and is not imposed as a burden, your experience will teach you many things, -that duty is liberty, that repentance is a release from sorrow, that sacrifice is gain, that humility is dignity, that the truth from which you hide is a healing element that bathes your disordered life, and that even the penalties and terrors of God are the artillery only of protection to His realm.

Remember.....

Direction is a compass that keeps us on a true course and helps us to reach our goals in the short-term and long-term. By having direction in small projects, major goals, and life, we develop the ability to direct our energies and activities towards those things that are meaningful an purposeful. Stay on course, it is the best way, of course.

Our Best

*Power Pearl*
Everyone has some type of talent. Each and every individual has a talent or talents that he or she was born with. Whatever our talent may be, in whatever quantity, modest or great, we are doing our best when we use our talents. When we discover our talent, develop our talent, then use our talent on a daily basis, we have found the way to do our best.

Our little guy swimming in Texas....

Our Thoughts

Our thoughts are the plantation of our daily living. Through our thoughts, we are able to achieve goals, pursue interests, make intelligent decisions, and maintain a constructive direction in life. Our thoughts are the precursor of our actions, which is why it is so vitally important to cultivate our thoughts into something productive.

Heather's 9th Birthday

Our granddaughter, Heather Patton turned 9 years old on May 5, 2006. I forgot to post it at that time but here it is. She enjoyed cake with family and friends at the dragstrip like Tanner did, however her party was a "spend the night party" with some of her schoolmates and cousins. Don't you know they had a great time...probably stayed up all night! Heather is the daughter of Misty and Kenneth.

Fishing is the Thing...

Tanner has learned how to fish and just loves it! His Paw-paw Patton takes him fishing often.
He went again today and caught 4 fish all by himself...the pics here are from a previous fishing outing. He is calling his Paw-paw Buddy Mac to tell him all about the BIG one. Is this not one HAPPY kid?

Tanner is 6 now!

Our grandson, Tanner Patton had his 6th birthday on June 21, 2006. He celebrated along with family and friends at the Alabama International Dragway (where his Paw-paw races). His cake was designed from a picture of Paw-paw's race car. His gifts included fishing equipment from both sides of the family because he wants to go fishing. Tanner is the son of Misty and Kenneth.

Grandmother & Paw-paw's Visit to Memphis

Does that boy need a haircut?

Just look at those legs....quite stout for a 5 1/2 month old

On June 23rd, we traveled to visit our daughter, Jessica and her family. It had been 21 days since we saw our baby Noah. He had grown a little taller and his hair was longer. But the amazing thing was when I took him in my arms, he quickly grabbed my glasses with both hands. Now it doesn't seem like very long ago that he discovered his hands and was content to look at them, and progressed to holding some of the little toys but to grab something with both hands (strong ones) that quick was shocking to me. And later in the day while we dining at Logan's Restaurant, he knocked over a glass of drink before we could stop him. Of course he was reaching for it. He is such a good boy, he loves his toys and is so content to play. Paw-paw carried him about in his arms a lot! Noah loves to be outdoors, so Paw-paw would just take him out there anytime he wanted. We stayed until the 25th and of course we couldn't hardly stand to leave him!!!
I think that he is going to visit us July 13th or 14th for a few days. We are anxiously awaiting.....

Today's Smile

Artists can color the sky red because they know it's blue. Those of us who aren't artists must color things the way they really are or people might think we're stupid.

Noah Rylee Gross @ 4 1/2 months

These pictures were made by grand-mother in the studio on June 2, 2006

The little tux outfit belongs to my friend, Marilyn. She has a fifteen year old grandson who wore it as a baby. She has shared it with numerous people for adorable pictures. Thank you Marilyn!

At the end of our session, Noah was so tired, he fell asleep.
But I like the sleeping ones also!
