Blackberry Winter?

It looks like it is, Matthew had to pull out a jacket on this cool wintery day of April 30, 2006.
Matthew is the 9 year old son of Malinda and Mark Mangum.

Triston Dewayne Lee Chaney was born on Friday, April 28, 2006 to the proud parents of Jimmy and Kookie Chaney, who are very sweet and precious friends to the West family. Triston weighes 6 lb. 9 oz. and is a little doll! He scratched his little face but mom has taken care of those tiny sharp fingernails already.

Blessed

"Blessed" means more than happiness. Happiness is fleeting. It is controlled by circumstances. Blessedness is unaffected by circumstance. Happiness comes from laughter, pleasure, earthly prosperity. Blessedness comes from God. Happiness can drive you crazy seeking it. Blessedness brings you peace and hope and joy. Happiness lasts only briefly. Blessedness is eternal.

Being Grateful

Gratitude is a skill that is a real eye opener. As we develop the skill of being grateful, something remarkable comes into focus. We are able to see clearly the many things in life to be grateful for. In addition, the skill of gratitude empowers us to make good on any situation, on any given day. Being grateful emphasizes the greatness of life.

Melissa's Birthday

Several friends and family celebrated Melissa's birthday at The Lumpkin House in Albertville on April 19, 2006. I believe that she turned 29 and is holding!

Our only granddaughter, Heather is playing softball for a team called The Sassy Chics. She is the daughter of Misty and Kenneth Patton.

Our grandson, Dawson (son of Heath & April) turned 3 on April 21, 2006 and we celebrated with a few family & friends at grandmother and paw-paw's house on Saturday.
